Follower of Jesus, lover of all things books, coffee, and pups.
I was raised Mormon but found a relationship Lord in 2009 thanks to a coworker and a lady in Wal-Mart. I call myself a product of planted Christian seeds. God sent people in my life to represent Him, and it caught my attention. I wanted what they had: passion, drive, and hunger for God.
I’ve been on fire for God during most of my Christian walk, but I’ve also had extreme times of tested faith and crushing doubt. The one constant I have had through all of the ups and downs of my life is God. Thankfully, He is faithful, because I have not always been faithful to Him.
I’ve moved around a LOT, and have called a few of the following places “home”: Colorado, Georgia, and Texas among (many) others. I now live in Dallas, and finally feel at “home.” God has taught me to be content regardless of my circumstances, or my zip code.
I invested three years as a wife, and am now learning what it means to be the “Bride of Christ.” You’ll read a lot about my healing process, as this blog was new around the time of my divorce. I hope that the pain I went through can help you in some way.
I spend my time reading, running, writing, loving on dogs, and smelling candles at fancy stores. I also love worship services, intellectual conversation, and Red Vines.
